Dear MariElders member,
As you probably know, the MariElders center has been closed for activities since March 16th. We made that decision ourselves, to help encourage our members and community to stay healthy. Then, the Governor of Ohio ordered all senior centers closed as of March 23rd. Since we are now under a direct order from the Governor, we will not be able to re-open until he gives us the “ok.”
During this time, we hope you are taking care of yourself and those around you. Please continue following the state and your physician’s guidelines, to protect yourself. If possible, open the windows or get out for a walk, and breathe in some fresh air.
While we are under state’s orders not to be open, we are continuing to run our transportation vans as needed. If you need a ride to a doctor’s appointment, or to the grocery, we are always available to give you those rides. We are also offering to pick up items from the grocery for you, so you don’t have to be around others in the grocery store. If you need either of these things, or anything else, please call us and leave amessage. We will get back to you within the hour.
As soon as the state gives the “ok” to re-open, we will be open the very next day! We have no idea when that will be, so please continue watching the news for state-wide updates. We are going to throw a small party, so please do stop by anytime that day, for some friendship, food and fun! We will ALL need a little of that!
Until we meet again,
