No. Membership is not required. However, members do receive discounts on some trips, outings and events. Your $25 annual membership is a great way to support THE MARIELDERS. Couples' annual rate is $30.
Is THE MARIELDERS Center An Adult Day Care or Residential Facility?
No. We are a social service organization that provides activities, services and transportation weekdays from 9 – 4:30 pm. Check out our calendar for what’s coming up and call 513-271-5588 to schedule transportation.
Can THE MARIELDERS Help Me Find Other Services That I Need?
Yes. Our Director, Stephanie Chellin can guide you to services such as housing, home care, insurance, home energy assistance and meals on wheels.
When Are the Events and Activities Held?
The Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm with most activities taking place during those hours. Our monthly newsletter and calendar list a description of the programs, the time and date of the event and cost.
What Is The Fee For Activities And Programs?
Many activities and programs do not have a fee. Others have a nominal fee to cover costs. Members enjoy discounted fees. Check the newsletter for what’s coming up. Any costs will be listed with the description. Some events require advance reservations or a have a sign-up sheet at the Center. You can always get information from our volunteer receptionist by calling us at (513) 271-5588 / M-F 9-4:30 pm.
Can THE MARIELDERS Van Shuttle drive me anywhere I want to go?
As long as ‘where you want to go’ is within the Villages of Mariemont, Fairfax, Terrace Park, Madison Place and Columbia Township, you can reserve a ride by calling (513) 271-5588 at least 24 hours in advance. A $2 suggested donation per round trip is appreciated.
Medical transportation can be arranged for those persons who are ambulatory and have a doctor visit within the I-275 loop, with I-75 as the western boundary. It is necessary to make a reservation at least 1 week in advance for a volunteer to drive you to your appointment.
